Linking tables to Password protected database

I want to password protect a linked table however I do not
know how to supply the password when linking the tables.
The help file just says this, with no further information:

To link a table from a Microsoft Access database that is
password-protected, you must supply the correct password.
If you supply the correct password, Microsoft Access
stores the database password with the information that
defines the link to the table.


Would appreciate any help..

I have the same problem, I cannot come up with the

when you link to a table in a password protected DB for
the first time, it will ask for a password and will store
this for you for future usage.
