hi,

thanks but that doesn't work. it just moves the spreadsheet from excel into
word.

i need it to be linked, so i have a copy of it in spreadsheet, and a copy of
it in word. this is so that when i update the spreadsheet, the one in word
will automatically get updated too

Oops! First time you don't test your answer, look what happens!
Tested (XL2003):

1) Copy the range of cells you need linked in Word.
2) Switch to Word and click where you want the result
3) Choose Edit/Paste Special
4) Click 'Paste link:'
5) Choose 'Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object'
6) Click OK

newbie here trying to learn by example using Word/Excel 2007. When I
Paste/Special with Paste Link from an Excel spreadsheet with 90 rows to
a Word doc only 50 1/2 rows are visible (1 page in Word). How do I get
the complete spreadsheet to be visible in Word?
thanks,
Dave

Word 2003 doesn't seem to pick up Excel's page breaks (manual or
automatic). The only solutions I have are fiddly. Unless someone else comes
up with a better method, copy and paste different sections at a time or drag
the edge of the linked area in Word to resize.
