Linking queries to reports

I'm a beginner with Access 2003. I need to make a lot of identicaly formatted
reports attached to different queries. Instead of designing each report I
would like to copy/paste the reports and then go back and attach the queries
to the reports. Can this be done and if so how? Is there any other way
without designing each report separately on all the queries ?(a tedious
undertaking).

It might help if you suggested why you have multiple similar queries for
multiple similar reports. There are lots of methods for creating one report
based on one query that allows displaying of multiple recordsets.

Can you provide justification for multiple queries and reports?

Duane,
I have a number of different queries that produce different record sets from
the same tables. I need to produce reports from each query that look the
same. For example, all the reports have people's names in the first column
but the names are different in each report. I want the column of names to
appear in the same place on each report under the same heading also in the
same place on the page. I can copy/paste the first report and make multiple
copies. If I could then attach the various queries into each of the copies I
could accomplish what I want. But can that be done in Access? Or is there
some other way of accomplishing this without building each report from
scratch onto the queries?

You don't understand my reply. I'm asking why you have multiple queries when
you might be able to get by with a single query that you dynamically set the
criteria based on input from the user?

You basically replied with the same information you posted earlier.

I'll think about your approach but I have reservations (probably because of
my ignorance) since I have to filter twice on the same field (I use an inner
join on two queries to generate a third) and the different reports need
different headers. If Access would allow me to attach a query to a report
after it had been built life would be simple. Thanks for your suggestion.

You can set/change the record source of a report with code in the On Open
event of the report.
