linking Excel range in Word

D

Doug Boufford

Using Office 2000 in WIN XP

I am trying to link ranges in Excel to a Word doc.
The Word doc has a table & I copied tee range in Excel & pasted as a
hyperlink in Word.
The correct amount shows in Word but:
1. I am unable to change the text color to black. I have changed the
style "hyperlink" to have black text but it still shows as light blue
and
2. I am unable to change the font size in the Word text

Only the first 2 amount are hyperlinked - the remaining text is typed
into Word

any help would be appreciated

a PDF of the Word page with the hyperlinks is shown at

TIA

Don't insert a hyperlink. Use edit > paste special as html as a link. Toggle
display (ALT+F9) and replace the \*mergeformat switch with a *charformat
switch e.g.

{ LINK Excel.Sheet.8 "D:\\My Documents\\Filename.xls" "Sheet1!R7C2" \a \f 5
\h \* CHARFORMAT}

Format the field as you want it to appear then update the field. You will
not be able to change the format of a Hyperlink field in this manner.
