Linked Tables

T

Tom Ulincy

I am trying to import data from our legacy system (AS400,
BPCS) via Get External Data, Linked Tables (Access 2002).
The link is created but most of the data returned are not
readable (currency symbols, foreign language letters,
etc.). In the table design view, most of the fields have
a binary data type.

I have compared my settings in Access Options and ODBC
Administration to those on a pc that does link to the same
external table successfully but don't see any
differences. Any thoughts on where else to look?

TIA
Tom

Hi Tom

AS400 is not my field at all, but check the fonts and character
sets/code pages.
