Linked picture error

I am writing a manual in Word XP with linked pictures (about 20 tif
images) and for some reason some of the pictures get messed up. The
picture will be ok from the top to about halfway down, then it starts
to repeat a section over and over again to the bottom. It just happens
with a few of them and then I save over the files and they are ok
again. Does anybody know why or how to fix this? Thanks,

Is this just on-screen? Then I'd say you need to try updating your
graphics card driver with the newest version from the manufacturer's
website. Couldn't hurt to do the same with the printer driver, just in
case that's acting up a bit, as well.
