Link a fillable Word document on website

Guest

I manage a website: www.holsteiner.com
and a fillable word document was created from the main office; emailed to me
to link on the website for individuals to download and fill in and mail to
main office.
My problem is: when I link the word document on the web a pop-up asks for
user id and password. How can I get this to stop happening? I am a self
taught Frontpage user so I do not know all in the ins and outs! Thank you
for any help you can give me! Hopefully this all makes sense!

What version of Word are you personally using? What is the link to the
document in question?

It opened just fine for me.
There is an issue with Word 2000, whereby you must install SR-1. However,
I'm not aware of a Word 2000 problem. Maybe someone can come up with the
answer.

yes, it does open ok but after a person closes that page what opens (or is in
the background) is the the user name and password little screen. I just did
it to make sure this still happens and it did it to me! The screen also says
connecting to www.holsteiner.com. Can you see this at all?

No, I see nothing like that.

I had a few different people try this from another state and they can open
the link to the word doc but after closing the doc. they have the little pop
up screen with asking for user name and password and it also says trying to
connect to www.holsteiner.com

Could it be something that I need to change within my Frontpage settings to
stop this. I wish you could see this...it probably would help.

Whatever it is, it's not a setting in FrontPage. It sounds like a
server-side issue, but I don't know what to tell you since I can't see it.
Sorry.

Did you not just say "there is an issue with Word 2000" then you say you're
not aware of a problem with Word 2000 - which is it?

T

Tom [Pepper] Willett

Typo: Should be not aware of a problem with Word 2003, Jerkwad.

I just viewed, edited and saved the document, using Office 2003 and
IE6 on Windows XP Pro. I could not see any logon dialogue at any
time.
