Lines on notes page

I'm sure there is an easy fix to this, I just can't figure it out. When I
print out the notes page (one slide per page) there are lines for note taking
in the area where the speaker's notes are printing out (the speaker's notes
print over the lines). How do I get rid of these lines? Patrice

Hi Patrice,

This is not normal notes page printing. Normally, the notes page printing
layout (one slide over notes) will show the slide and the notes, with no
lines. Is it possible that someone added the lines in a shape they added to
the notes master?

To check this, select View => Master => Notes page. Then identify each of
the shapes on the master slide, there should be only a few. 1) Slide image
placeholder 2) Notes placeholder, 3) Page number placeholder, 4) Footer
placeholder, 5) Date Placeholder, and 6) Header placeholder. If there are
other shapes on the master, then they were added and can cause the problem
like you are describing. Try making a copy of your presentation, then
remove the additional notes master shapes and see if the problem is
resolved.

That worked. I viewed the notes pages and found an overlay text box that
contained lines. I deleted it and all is fine now. Thanks.
