Hi,
I am trying to compose a email template in PLAIN TEXT and have a section
with bullets, as such:

*item 1
*item2
*item3
*item4

I cannot figure out how to make OL keep the line breaks for the bullets as
it always wants to WRAP the lines as such *item1*item2*item3*item4 and no
matter what I do the resulting email that is received is always wrapped as
above.

Surely, there is a way of inserting the line break and making it stick--but
keeping email in plain text format?
Tx.

Tx for ur reply but no, Diane.
That would only resolve how messages appear to me (when I am the recipient).
I am talking about how it appears to OTHERS when I am the SENDER and being
able to control that....

There seems to be no way to force Outlook 2002 not to do any line
breaks. A line break will always be done between the offered 30 to 132
characters ("0" doesn`t work...). This e. g. means that any URL longer
than 132 characters will be broken. It means that a plain text, copied
from a word processor, has to be sent as an attachment for avoiding
unwanted line breaks.

Eudora can send plain text emails without any line breaks with the
push of a button in the composing window since about 10 years.

Is Microsoft sleeping or what?

Thanks

M.

you need to send it using quoted-printable and that involves a registry
tweak if you version doesn't offer it as an option.

AFAIK, Outlook 2002 is broken with regard to quoted-printable and long line lengths.
