limitblankpassworduse registry key

I want to run scheduled tasks without passwords. I found out that you can
get TaskScheduler to run by changing the limitblankpassworduse registry key
to 0. It does in fact allow Tasks to be run with Blank passwords, but, I'm
also wondering what other unintended side effects this might have...such as
allow other things to be run without passwords that shouldn't be. Anybody
know anything about this one?

It creates a security hole, by allowing the use of blank passwords system wide.

For example, you're running XP Pro and are using an Administrator level account, with no password. It would be relatively easy for a piece of malware to enable Remote Desktop, send out your username and IP address and make your machine vulnerable.

Under normal conditions, users with a blank password cannot log on remotely.
