Limit Outgoing Messages Size

Hi,

I want to know if there is a way to limit the size of the outgoing message
in Outlook 2003? I have low bandwidth and do not want users to send out mails
say more than 5mb in size .

Can this be done?

if you use an external ISP then they most probably have a limit
anyway.......

Hi,

We have a limit of 10Mb set on our Exchange server. A particular office
having low bandwidth wants to know if they can prevent users form sending
messages above 5Mb from Outlook itself by creating a rule or some other
feature.

Look at the Batched Mail add-in (mapilab.com/outlook/toolbox), it allows you specify the number of messages which will be sent from Outlook in hour. This add-in watches for Outbox folder of Outlook and moves all outgoing messages into own folder when specified number of sent messages is reached. The add-in waiting while limit is not resat and moves messages back to Outbox folder (by parts). It is working automatically you just need to specify the number of messages which allows to be sent in hour.
