Library of pictures

I draw my own pictures in word. Many of them are similar with only
slight changes. Is there a way of having a library of std pictures,
which retain the ability to ungroup so that I may edit the pics
slightly?..

drawings are of lenses, mirrors etc and I use them alot in diagrams.
I want to be able to click and past onto a report and edit them to fit
a partiulcar experiment.

You can save the pictures as AutoText entries. I see no reason why they
would not retain all their properties when inserted.
