LF MP3 ID3 tag batch procesor

I've been using iTunes to convert my CD collection to MP3s, and just
discovered that it only writes ID3v2 tags to the files. My brand-new
MP3 player only reads ID3v1 tags. Is there a program that will write
ID3v1 tags to the files based on their ID3v2 tags, and runs unattended
so that I don't have to spend hours on copying data within hundreds of
files?

http://mp3tag.de/en does that and much more besides. The only MP3
tagging program I need.

However, ID3v1 tags are much smaller and more limited than v2... perhaps
you should at some point get a decent player:)

Thanks.

The player also plays OGG files - that's my definition of "decent".

Point taken. (Though my small player (flash) does Ogg as well as
ID3v2... but okay, I shut up.)
