Lexmark Z11 not working

I'm switching to a new Puter(Home built). So far everything has gone
smoothly(Not my first build). I can Install the printer, but it will not
print anything. I've searched the message board here and found a few things.

The Error I am getting is 'The Document Failed to Print".

I had had 3 different driver's installed. I deleted 2 of them. But I can't
delete the 3rd driver. In both "Printer's and Fax's" and in "Server
Properties". There is still one left. Still won't print. So I tried to
install the driver again, and got the same error as above.

This is not a USB Printer. It uses the old standard LPT1. In looking at my
ports in Device Manager. It show's I have Two COM2 Ports, but no LPT1
Port!!!!!.

After unhooking the Printer I rebooted and I still cannot remove that 1
remaining driver. When I hook the printer back up, Window's does not detect
it. It either does see it and already has that one device driver installed,
or it's not seeing it at all.

Is this a Port Issue? If not, How do I get that last device driver
UnInstalled so Window's will Detect it again?

Presumably the new motherboard does have a parallel port. Is it enabled in
the BIOS? If it's not enabled or not working correctly, XP will never see
the printer.

Thanks Cari!
I'm kinda embarrassed though. My Bios is AMI. Which I'm not familiar
with. Instead of showing the ports. It has an option to A. Allow the BIOS to
Auto Detect the needed Ports, or B. Allow The OS(XP) to Detect and configure
the ports and hardware. I needed to change the setting to allow Windows to
the Detection and configuring.

Thanks again...JiminWarren
