let audio fade in

hi,
Is it possible with movie maker to mute the audio of the clip until one
particular moment so that the audio of the imported music file is heared, but
not the audio of the clip. And on that particular moment let both audio's
play together so that you here audio of the clip and imported audio at once?

Yes, when you have your clip on the timeline....go to the timeline and
position the 'guide' right at the spot where you want the separation to
occur. Then go to the top and click on CLIP and then SPLIT. Now, on the
clip to the left you should 'RIGHT' click on it and MUTE it, or choose volume
and slide the slider to the far left so there is no sound on the first clip.
Leave the second clip alone and it will have sound. Now, import your new
music clip and drag it to the audio line....and position or shorten it as you
want. Then when you play your clip you will hear the music file only, and
then both will play from the spot you 'split' your clip. Good luck.
