legality of selling a book written in word student edition

P

pythagoras

I am using the MS WORD program which is part of the Microsoft Office Home and
Student 2007. I am writing a book on this WORD program. I hope to sell the
book for a profit. I noticed the words "non-commercial use" on the top of
this "WORD" program the other day, and want to know if this makes profit from
my book written in WORD illegal or not. I read the licensing agreement but
did not find an answer in it.
Please advise, and thank you.

Please read the thread with the subject line "May I sell a novel written
with the 'non-commercial' Word?" This provides all the details you need (the
basic answer is No, you may not).

thank you, what exactly is the WORD program that can be used commercially,
and what might be the most economical way to upgrade to it from home and
student edition. Your time and energy is most appreciated!

You could try to find a version of Works Suite, whch includes Word XP.
Generally they sell for less than $100.
