Legal: What is a valid copyright notice for use of clipart ?

I would like to know what a valid copyright notice example would look like ?

The End-User License Agreement states
You must include a valid copyright notice on your products and services that
include copies of the Media Elements.

Is it just the sign © next to the image or is it small print on the document
stating something like these images are copyrighted by microsoft?

I take it that this would include business cards, presentations, flyers, etc
and that it would need to be listed on them.

Also if you modify the clipart in a graphics program do you still need to
add the copyright notice on it ?

Thanks for your help

"Also if you modify the clipart in a graphics program do you still need to
add the copyright notice on it ?" - sort of makes a copyright worthless doesn't it?

If I made a picture and copyrighted it and someone "modified" it and put my copyright to it, I'd be
fuming. Wouldn't you?
