I have an *.LDB file in my Internet Logs Folder. What is an LDB File and why
do I need it?

I have tried deleting it but the system won't allow it.

It is a 'lock file' used to keep muti-user databases from being changed in
the same place by two processes at the same time resulting in possible data
corruption.

From your reference, am I correct in assuming that has to do with Zone
Alarm?

It's a Zone Alarm file in use by Zone Alarm.

If that folder gets out of hand, you can boot to safe mode and delete
all the files in it.
Your Zone Alarm settings will have to be reset, but those files tend to
grow, especially the .rdb files.

As Shenan Stanley and Wally have pointed out this is a Zone Alarm file. I
discovered the file during a problem running Drive Image 7 and now believe
the problem was due to some kind of conflict between the two programs. I am
not really computer literate enough to understand this kind of thing but
keep trying to learn.

One would think when you get to be eighty years old you would know
everything. However, I am constantly humbled by the discovery that I have
new things to learn.

Thank you both for your help.
