LCD Monitor with/without DVI

Hi
I'm about to buy one of these 19" monitors
Sony HS93 or
Sony HX93
I noticed that the main difference (besides design and speakers) is
the DVI connection.
Why should I buy a monitor with DVI? what is it good for? will it be
wiser to have it in the long run?

(I will use it for graphic design and animation. Currnetly running my
old monitor with an analog Gforce card of 64MB.)

Thanks

If:

1. you plan to run the monitor at its native res, and

2. you have, or will have, a graphics card with DVI-out,

.... then the displayed image is likely to be noticeably
cleaner in DVI mode, as it avoids being converted from
digital to analog and back to digital again. There is a
one-for-one mapping of frame buffer pixels to LCD pixels,
with no spill-over/blending/smearing.

When I switched from analog to DVI mode on my LCD,
I was startled by how much crisper the image was;
almost too crisp. If your card offers FSAA, you might
even want to turn it on.
