Last username cache place? (Windows logon)

Hi, I'd like to clear/change the last, and only the last, username who
has logon on Windows 2000 from the history. I do NOT want to use the
'DontDisplayLastUserName' key since in that case the username field
will be always empty later on. In another word, I only want to
clear/change the last username once, and after that, the username would
be displayed as normal. Thankful for helps!

I assume the last username will be cached somewhere, which can be
edited manually, so by changing that the next username will change?

Appreciated and thankful for a quick answer!!!

You might want to post to a windows 2000 newsgroup. This one is for the XP
OS. Here is a list of MS public newsgroups. http://www.aumha.org/nntp.htm

Well, I found the answer, which is actually the same for both XP and
2000.

The last logon string is cached on "DefaultUserName" on the following
address which can be changed to whatever, and that will showup in the
next logon windows as 'last username'.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Cheers,
/Ben
