Last System Restore Point

J

Jim R.

A few months a go I came across a tip in a newsletter showed me how save
only the last system restore point and delete all the earlier restore dates.
This is a good way to get rid of earlier restore points that may have
problems. This didn't require turn off system restore and start it up
again. I thought it was in the My Computer>properties>System Restore or My
Computer>Open>Local Disk(C)>Properties>Tools. I used it before several weeks
ago but now I've forgotten how to get to it! Should have written it down!
Thanks!

Jim;
Open Disk Clean-up
Click Other Options tab.
The bottom button deletes all but the last Restore Point.

However this is really pointless unless you have a specific issue with
one or more Restore Points.
Your personal settings determine how much space is dedicated to System
Restore.
Once that space is full, older Restore Points are automatically purged
on a First In First Out basis to make room for the new.
If this is working properly, there is never a reason to delete the
Restore Points.
