Laserjet 5

I have just acquired a LaserJet 5 (4 meg memory) in good condition, however,
without any manuals. Is it possible to get it to print postscript with the
addition of memory and or drivers?

Kind regards
Trevor

The 5M was the PostScript version. It had a little more memory (6M, I
think) and a PostScript SIMM.

You may find that PostScript printing goes faster by using Ghostscript
on the computer and sending the rendered bitmap as PCL to the printer.
That can be done without adding any hardware.

Yes. It is usually better because some ps files takes very long time
to process by a printer (in my case previous model lj4m). But sometimes
ghostscript doesn't do a good job and ps in printer can save you.
I have 14mb of memory and it's enough - you are in better position,
lj5 doesn't need parity memory :))
