Large File Splitter?

I am looking for a freeware file splitter that will split a 750 MB file. So
far I have only found those that will do smaller files for free.

It partly depends on what sort of file you are splitting and whether you
want the individual parts to be playable (?) independently.

HJSplit is a good tool.

I've had good luck with:
Splitter & Merger
QFS Splitter
JR Split File

I believe all of them can handle a file that size for free.

Already looked at that. Windows XP was not among the systems listed as
compatible.

Wouldn't do it.

Do you know why?
The site I sent you to says that HJSplit is multi platform, and suggests
it is quite happy with 10 gig files...

What processor do you have? Have you tried after a reboot?

Have you tried Brawny Lads BLjoin?
http://www.brawnylads.com/

It both joins/splits files & does work on XP. I use it all the time. The only
program I found so far that will join 2 parts of a split dvd mpg file in
seconds & allow me to play the joined file with zero errors.
