Laptop will not boot

I would greatly appreciate ANY help w/this problem.

When I power up my Compaq Presario 2100 notebook, I get get a message
stating that windows did not start successfully due to what could be a number
of problems. It then list the ways to start the computer:
Safe Mode, Safe Mode w/Networking, Safe Mode w/Command Prompt, Last known
good configuration or Start Windows Normally. NONE of these work and the
computer keeps reverting back to this screen. I have NO idea what to do
about this.

As stated above, I'd really appreciate any hep. I'm a photographer and most
of my photos are on that computer.

boot from your cd and try a repair

Pull the hard drive invest 10 bucks in a notebook to ide adapter and put the
drive in a full size computer
