Laptop not recognising networked printers

Hi.......I have a Desktop & Laptop both connected via a Di-Link DSL-G604T
modem. They were networked so that the laptop could access the 2 printers
connected to the Desktop and this was working great. But.......in the last
few days I needed to get a clean Windows install done on the desktop & have
reloaded all my software/drivers etc.

Everything is reconnected and the Desktop is now fine & can access both
printers but the laptop can't locate them when I use the add printer wizard.
I seem to recall having the same problem about a year ago when I first set
the network up but by fluke or accident it eventually worked but now I'm
stumped.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Cheers

some printers have special drivers
for network sharing at their parent
websites.

some laptops require that you
be connected to the network
then you simply can use the
printer installation disk to discover
the network and the shared printer
to install the appropriate drivers.....
