Laptop losing mapped drives at home

I have a client who takes her lappy home with her at weekends. She says
normally she can use it to VPN in over ADSL and the laptop will allow her to
save to all her network drives, but now it won't. Is ther anything that
could stop this happeneing, even though she can send emails ok so she is
getting to the domain fine.
