Does Defender run with a German version of XP?
When I try to install the program it complains about a not existing account
"User".

Workaround from Jacek Kolonko:

1. Start -> Run net localgroup Users /add

2. Install WindowsDefender.msi.

3. Start -> Run net localgroup Users /delete

Works for both XP Pro and Home

Plun has given the workaround for this issue.

Additionally, we expect both a German and Japanese language version of the
beta product to be issued--but I can't give you a timeline, I'm afraid.
