Language packs

Hi

I installed Vista RC 1 when it became available. Since, I have Ghosted
it a few times as I like to experiment with Vista (beta software is
made to experiment, isn't it ?). After having had some problems, I
decided today to restore a Ghost copy created very shortly after the
initial install of RC 1.

Everything went well except for three things. A few weeks after RC1 was
released, I downloaded one of the language pack that became available
through Windows Update. After I have restored my system, the French
language pack is not only gone (which is notrmal) but it doesn't show
up in Windows Update. In fact, none of the language packs that were
available when I downloaded the French pack, is showing up in Windows
update. The pack does not show as an "installed software", either. How
can I get that French pack...I have checked the Microsoft site but
can't find the Vista language packs.

Also, I had installed beta drivers for my ATI TV Wonder Remote TV Tuner
card but apparently they are now obsolete but it seems that no Vista
drivers are now available for this card, on the new AMD/ATI website.
Does anyone know where I could get drivers for this particular TV Tuner
card ?

Finally, since I have restored, every time I boot to Vista, I'm stuck
with a login screen where I have a choice to login as an Administrator
or as the user I created, originally. How do I get rid of that login
screen ?

Thanks

Hi,

Just to share with you for what I know (which could be wrong):

1. The ones once available on Windows Update probably were MUI
(Multilanguage user interface) which would be included in Ultimate edition,
and I found they were gone for a while ago, but I haven't checked for a few
weeks and don't know the current status.

2. I couldn't find any information since the very beginning about language
packs from MS, but according to Darrell Gorter[MSFT] and I quote: Not
available yet.

I don't know it's not available for download or not available for release,
and I don't even know which version will come with it - I am guessing for
Enterprise, but hoping Business will too.

Hope this helps.
