Lagging performance in XP Pro after clicking an icon to open a pro

After clicking on an icon to open a program in XP Professional, the user has
to wait 45 seconds to one minute for the software program. Below are the
folliwing variables to give you a better idea of the PC and what it is
running:

-Is a new machine that has only been in the network for two months
-Runs several applications that require SQL server to pull up data
-PC has 1 GB DDR2 RAM, Intel P4 processor
-Problem began occuring three days ago
-System DSN has already been eliminated as a possibility

Try doing a System Restore to the point where the problem did not occur.

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
