Lacking GUI design

Ryan Rugg

Hello,

I don't know if this has been discussed yet.

I've been using the beta since it came out and haven't given it much
thought. I set it to run at night and then do real-time protection
otherwise. So the only time I experience the program is when I get my
morning scan summary or when some real-time action event occurs. This is
where the GUI needs some changes.

I experience the following pop-up

Windows AntiSpyware Notice
An Internet Explorer Web browser object requires your approval

A web browser object is a program that can change Internet Exploer settings.
This change generally occurs when software is installed. You can allow this
change if it is recognized and expected.

So waht do I want to do? Well I'd like to be able to determine that but I
don't know if I recognize or expect the change because the interface doesn't
let me see what the object is that I'm making the choice about. The "!Click
for more information about this alert..." simply tells me about web-objects
in general and while informative it gives me no information to evaluate my
decision as I now only know what a web object is and not what the object in
question is. The only time I can see the object is after making the choice
and then entering blocked events.

Hi Ryan,
Yup. That's been noted in the NG's over the past several months. It's
expected to be fixed up before release.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to seeing beta 2 and this fix included.
I see this as a main customer satisfaction issue as it actually prompted me
(and others) to post here.

Regards,
Ryan
