Lack of storage

M

mac

Windows XP Pro with 44.6 GB of free space on the C drive.

I'm attempting to clip together 3-4 clips to make a 8-10 minute
movie. I have found my clips, encoded it as .mpg and saved my clips.
(I first tried to encode it to extension .wmv, but when that did not
work, I encoded it to .mpg extension and got them to play on my
windows media palyer.)

When I put them in to Windows Movie Maker in the story line I desire
and plug in a couple of transitions, it freezes up and give me a pop-
up that I have "run out of storage space."

When going to Help and searching Temporary storage. It tells me that
it keeps the clips in a Temporary File for storage until they are used
in the final form, i.e., Saved, emailed.... The suggest going to
tools, general tab and checking to see where the storage is and if
necessary move it to increase the storage, mentioned computer is
compartmentalized and .....

Anyhow, Checking my General Tab it shows it to be C: Documents and
settings, mac, Local settings, Temp...

I'm not sure how to get more storage or move the default setting of
the storage to a larger file.

Any thoughts on getting more space into the file or sending it to
something larger? Not sure what the "Help" answer meant???

Thank you
