Label templates not showing in the New Document

I am having a problem getting the label template to show up under New
Document. It worked until a few days ago, now when I hit New Document after
choosing my label, it comes up blank. The label format is there but i can't
see the lines.

If this is Word 2003 or earlier, click Table > Show Gridlines. If it's Word
2007, there's a Show Gridlines button at the left end of the Table Tools >
Layout ribbon.

I tried using grid lines and it doesn't put the lines where the edges of the
actual labels are, it looks more like graph paper. I need the label boundries
to show and they used to. I haven't switched from Word 2003 so there is no
reason they disappeared. Do I need to change the settings in Grid to
something special?

You've evidently enabled the drawing grid, which is entirely different from
table gridlines, which are on the Table menu: Show Gridlines.
