Kurtrtail Maybe partially right after all-A little off topic

Kurttrail May be partially right after all.

For the record and I don't agree how kurttrail
voices his complaints. He should be more constructive.
Don't worry, I will not become like kurtrail. I just passing on
what someone else told me.

I went to a computer show Today.
I was looking for xp full version retail. I asked them if I removed xp
from one computer and put it on another computer is that allowed?
They said no Microsoft won't allow transfer of full retail version it
stuck with that computer.

The reason she knows this, She tried it with a full retail version.
Microsoft activation center told them to buy another version of full
version of xp. {{right here, I told her she should speak to a
supervisor}}. She even said Ms does not know what thier doing.

Just a note-this is from a person other than me.
Yes I'm aware of the move rule. She was too & still told her no.
Yes I'm aware of the licensing rules.
Yes I'm aware of the Activation Faq's

I told them right away, that I not interested in a Oem version before
discusing the xp retail version.

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!
"Produkt-Aktivierung macht frei!"

The person you conversed with is wrong. A "retail version"
of Windows XP may be transferred to another computer, as
long as it is removed from the original computer. An "OEM
version" cannot be transferred to another computer.

If there is any doubt, always read the Windows XP EULA.

Why you would believe someone you just met at a computer
show is beyond me.

3. She confused the Microsoft person on the phone, who thought she was =
talking about an OEM version.

^^^I think your right Ken. At least I thought a computer shop
would know. (Yes, they have a shop). Number 3
