ks.sys and ksuser.dll

Hai, everybody,

When I update my Audio Card Driver in my XPE, it reports that "ks.sys" and
"ksuer.dll" are missing.

However, I add this too primitive in my Runtime Image already. and it
reports file missing, I searched my system folder and found these two files
at the right position.

What is the problem?

Thanks for consideration!

Daniel,

Before you are trying to update the driver (using device Manager?) please go to \Windows folder and delete setupapi.log file there.
Then do the update and if it fails please grab the newly created setupapi.log and review the exact error that happened during the
new driver install. You may want to post the file content here.

The presense of the ks.sys and ksuser.dll may not be enough to be able to use those Dlls. The Dll's dependencies and INF file(s)
must be in your image as well.
You may want to check whether the following components are in your image too:
Kernel Streaming User Mode Support
Primitive: Drmk.sys
Primitive: ks.inf
Primitive: Ks.sys
Primitive: Portcls.sys
Primitive: Stream.sys
Primitive: Wdmaud.drv

How?

I'm running into a problem with the same two files when I install the
Sigmatel audio drivers for the Intel 945 motherboard. The error
message allow me to bring up a File Open window so I can browse to
where those files are, but it would be nice to not have to do that.
