kodak imaging

I'm having a problem with kodak imaging. I use Windows 2000 Professional
Edition.
When I press "Preview" next to the "Scan" button, my printer starts the
process of scanning... but after like few seconds, it stops, but my mouse
pointer is still "busy." And it never stops being "busy", meaning my computer
"gets stuck." Then I have to restart my computer by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Any help would be appreciated!

I guess that you might need to reinstall your scanner driver. Check your
scanner menu for details.

i already did reinstall scanner drive, but it did not elp at all
