Kmixer.sys and ntbtlog

Lately, In displaying the ntbtlog.txt in Win XP Pro i see the following
line:
"Loaded driver \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\kmixer.sys"
this morning it was displayed 6 times at the end of the log. Yesterday it
was listed 208 times.
Aside from this I can see no problems in operating the PC.
No BSOD's
I have Run Spybot S&D and Ad-aware with nothing found in either.
Windows Explorer shows the size of Kmixer.sys as:
Size 167KB(171,776 bytes)
Size on disk 168KB(172,032 bytes)
MSKB shows nothing on the problem.
Any Ideas on what to do about this much appreciated.
Thanks

I just noticed that these entries are being added after boot time. I now
have 13 entries that have occured within the last 45 minutes

Are you having any trouble with your sound hardware or sounds? If no,
ignore the "error."

It's not unheard of for the system to "check" that a driver is loaded.
Subsequent attempts to load an already loaded driver will "fail" but if for
any reason the driver dropped out of the picture, it would be reloaded in
one of the later attempts.

I have no idea why Windows thinks it has to keep checking on this one. It
could be related to some kind of problem sound hardware or a dinged sound
driver. But it may also be entirely "normal" for your particular setup.

Thanks Sharon.
No I do not have any sound problems as I stated. I think Microsoft should
look into this problem of Kmixer having to reload itself. I have seen many
items of people having problems with kmixer while searching google for this.
Thanks again
