Kicking people out of a network database

Is there a way to kick people out of a shared network database. I need
to update a database with a module that I have on my desktop, but it is
locked by another user. Do I have any options here?

It sounds as though you haven't split your application into a front-end
(containing the queries, forms, reports, macros and modules) and a back-end
(containing the tables and relationships). Only the back-end should be on
the server: each user should have his/her own copy of the front-end,
preferably on his/her hard drive. In that way, you can "play" with the code
to your heart's content, and simply give everyone a new copy of the
front-end when you're done.

Tony Toews has a free Auto FE Updater at
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/autofe.htm to help ensure all users have the
correct version of the front-end.
