How are their quality? Seems they are the cheapest brand.

bought from J&R in NYC:
TDK
10 pack(box no frills; w/jewel cases) $4
30 pack spindle(no jewel cases) 80min 700mb 52x - $6(0.20c each)

Khypermedia
100 pack spindle 700mb 52x - $15(0.15c each)
50 pack spindle w/labels - $7(0.14c each)

I did get data read error on a couple of pics when viewing on a DVD
player. The names came up, but not the pics. On the computer, never
had this problem.

Cheapo as you can guess. Actually if you a decent burner thats
compatible with a wide variety of media then you should have no
obvious problems with most media at least initially. I have the BenQ
and NEC burners and they burn anything. I cant remember the last time
Ive had any problems with any media initially but everyone keeps
saying when they check it for certain types of errors they do see more
with cheaper media , which doesnt cause problems right away but they
say after a while the disks can go bad. So if you are going to archive
the data buy bette rmedia like TY etc.

I bought tons of MIJ TY disks under the Fuji brands when they used to
have rebates all the time on CDRs. I use that for recording music that
I want to keep. All the other stuff I tend to put on whatever I bought
on sale. I must have bought maybe 700 Fuji CDRs but have used up 350
or so. I have 350 left.
