Is there anyway to allow a user to use the mouse only during a presentation?

I am using PowerPoint 2002. I have linked buttons in my presentation and I
find that if someone uses the keyboard, ie Page Up or Page Down etc, the
presentation progresses on to the next slide in sequence.

The presentation is aimed at kids and is designed to be navigated via the
buttons not the keyboard.

Thanks in advance.

You want Kiosk mode. Go to the Slide Show menu and choose Set Up Show. Choose the option for the presentation to be displayed at a kiosk. Now the only key that will work will be the Escape key to get out of the show. That means that all navigation must be done with hyperlinks and buttons and all animation must be automatic
