Since my first post about this wasn't answered, i'll post
once again because thi is getting really annoying.

my keyboard doesn't work with ALT+F4. Whenever i try to
close an application, and i hit alt+f4 nothing happens.
And in my computer game, when i hit F9 im supposed to
switch weapons but nothing happens either. I have
a Multimedia Keyboard by Microsoft. Standard 101/102-Key
or Microsoft Natural PS/2
Keyboard.

Well, if you read the manual that came with the keyboard you would have probably
seen that the key to the right of F12 is labeled as F-lock. Every time you boot
your computer, this key will be deselected. This gives the functions keys the
assigned dual functions (i.e.. F1 does Help, F2 does Undo, F3 does Redo, F4 does
New, F5 does Open, etc....) If you want the keys to really work as functions
keys, then you need to press the F.Lock button so that the light under the F
symbol is lit.

The keyboard came with my computer, and FLock was off
when i was playing my game. And still, wuts wrong with my
alt+f4?

Like my last post stated, the F.Lock key is what shifts the functions keys from
their alternate function to actually acting as function keys. Each time the
computer powers up the F.Lock is disabled (why MS did this I don't know--the
only conclusion I can come to is they did not want to put the additional keys on
the keyboard like they use to on their older Multimedia keyboards).
Anyway, each time you turn the computer on and want to use the functions keys as
F1,F2,F3,F4,etc. you will need to remember to hit the F.Lock button to the right
of the F12 key which will turn on the F light to signify that the keys are now
performing the functions as they have always done.

The bottom line...the F.Lock needs to be engaged in order for the Alt+F4 to
close a program or Ctl+F4 to close a window.
