Keyboard Stops Responding

My Logitech Cordless MX Duo's keyboard stops responding sometimes during a
game (doesn't seem to matter which one--UT, Raven Shield, etc.). Funny,
though, the Windows key works to call up the start menu so I can then shut
the game down. I know that others have experienced the same problem and I
doesn't seem to be a problem specific to this keyboard. Someone told me that
the only solution is to run a USB Keyboard. Haven't tried that as yet.

I'm running Win XP Pro with all the latest updates and all my drives and
BIOS are updated as well; system specs are as follows:

Epox 8RDA3+ nForce2 Rev. 2.1

AMD Athlon XP Barton 3000+/333

Corsair TwinX 1024-4000PT - 1GB

Corsair CMX512-4000 - 512MB

ATi Radeon 9800XT 256M

2, WD 74GB SATA 10K Raptors - WD740GD - in RAID 0

1, WD 200GB 7200RPM 8MB - WD2000JB

Plextor PX-708A/SW-BL 8X DVD Burner

Plextor PX-PREMIUM/SW-BL 52X/32X/52X CD Burner

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum

Mitsubishi 22" Diamond Pro 2070SB-BK

Logitech Cordless MX Duo

Razer Boomslang 2100

Theraltake SLK-900A Heatsink

Klipsch ProMedia GMX 2.1

Super Flower Fan Master SF-609 Fan Speed Controller

Hi Jim,

A few ideas came to mind when I read your post:

1. There may be driver / software updates for your keyboard which
will correct the issue. Visit the manufacturers site.

2. The profile software for the keyboard might be creating a conflict.
Disable the software using Start / Run / msconfig

3. There may be interference on your desktop. Even monitors can
cause interference with cordless keyboards. IBM Flat Panels for
example cause that issue when run at 75 Hertz. The solution would
be to change to another refresh rate.
