Keyboard shortcuts for Drop-down form fields

Is there a way to select from drop-down form fields in a form without using
the mouse?

I often use a template form (in Word 2003) that has several drop down form
fields with lists of choices, and I'd like to select the correct choice from
each list without having to shift back and forth from keyboard to mouse.

When the cursor is in the dropdown field, press Alt+down arrow to open the
list. Use the up and down arrows to move the highlight through the list, and
Enter to make the selection.

The F4 function key should open the list also.
