Keyboard question

Peter

Running windows XP Professional with SP1A on a new
Toshiba P10-304 Laptop running P4-266 HT with 256MB SDRAM.

I noticed a problem whereby occassionally the keyboard
get "stuck" and behaves as if the CRTL key is pressed
even though I have not pressed it.

Note, I have not set any "Sticky Keys" options under
Accessibility Options in Control Panel.

The only resolution is sadly to restart the PC (log off
would NOT resolve the problem).

I have also Office 2003 Professional Enterprise, ICQ
2003a, MSN Messenger 6.1, Media Player 9.0, Adobe Acrobat
Reader 6.0, WinZip, Norton Internet Security 2003
installed.

I guess that your keyboard is new as well so not in need of cleaning
I would Make sure that I had all updates from supplier done.
Then I'd uninstall the driver in device manager, hoping that
Windows device reinstall would clear things. If these don't
help, could be some hotkey use visible in Startup/Services
with "Run" msconfig.
