keeping replied email in the inbox

Outlook 2002 SP1.

I have several subfolders set up under my Inbox. When I reply to a message
that I have moved to one of these subfolders the replied email stays in that
folder which is really cool. But if I have an email in the Inbox and reply
to it the replied email goes into the Sent Items folder. I would like to set
up a rule (or change an option if there is one) that will keep any email
replied from the Inbox in the Inbox instead of putting it in the Sent Items
folder, or set up a rule that will move all emails that arrive in the Sent
Items folder back to the Inbox. I have looked at the rules but can't find a
combination that will accomplish this. Any suggestions?

Much thanks.

Set up a rule which will
1) Check messages after sending
2) with specific words (RE:) in the subject
3) move a copy to the specified folder (Inbox)

Note that this only moves a COPY to the Inbox. You'll still have a
duplicate message in your Sent Items folder. Moving the message itself is
only an option for received mail. MS apparently doesn't want us to be able
to automatically MOVE sent mail.

I tried this rule before my post, but the problem with this rule is when I
send a message from a non-Inbox folder I will also get a copy of the message
in the Inbox which I don't want.

Is there a way to make #1 say "if I'm replying to a message that is in the
Inbox check message after sending"?

Thanks again.

You'll need to make a rule - use the normal as they arrive option, set
it up to move to inbox and run it on the items in Sent, using the Run Now
option.
