Keep with previous (Lines and Page Breaks)

Is there a way of achieving this simply, in a similar way to the formatting
option "Keep with next"?
Whenever I use a bulleted list, I want to keep bulleted paragraphs in the
list together with the preceding text, which uses the Body Text style, which
acts as a heading for the list. I do not want to change the Body Text style
as I do not always want subsequent paragraphs in Body Text to stick together.
And I do not want to create a new style which serves as a "heading" for the
bulleted list as I will then have to apply this to each paragraph preceding a
bulleted list. If I do this, I may as well override the "heading" paragraph
each time this situation arises, and therefore not bother with styles in the
first place.
Thanks for any help forthcoming.

Hello Hugh-

Why not create a bulleted list heading style *Based On* the primary heading
style? The only difference between the two would be the 'Keep...' attribute &
it would inherit changes made to the parent style.

Hi CyberTaz!

There doesn't seem to be an advantage with creating a style that is the same
as another (apart from one attribute) and applying it where required over
overriding the style and simply checking and unchecking the "Keep with next"
box as required. Either approach will be confusing for others who use the
document who may not be as well versed in Word. Also, the last bullet in
the list will keep with the following paragraph of a different style -
another undesirable trait.

Is there not some other sneaky way around this? I know I'm not the only
person to have requested this feature – the Web is littered with hits on the
topic, all suggesting similar solutions.

Thanks

About the only other suggestion I can offer is to build your bulleted lists
in a ttext box/frame & anchor it to the preceding para.
