KB918899 Cause IE to resart on certain sites.

I have applied the new Windows updates on my Windows 2000 system. After I
install the updates, IE will show warning message and restart on certain
sites. It works fine after I removed KB918899. Has anyone have the same
issue? What is the cause and solution?

Thanks.

Well, I'm having crashes in IE several times a day since installing the patch. Time to switch to Firefox, I guess.

I too am having new problems after installing this update. Specifically the
NY Times website crashes if say I scroll down the page before it is loaded
completely.

Would love a fix to be issued, have sent the error reports to MS. The error
reports various culprits from Flash8.ocx to ntll.dll though I highly doubt my
flash player has changed in the past 15 minutes.

also an unknown error comes up in the log,

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft Internet Explorer

Time: 9:23:36 PM

Description:
The following information is part of the event: iexplore.exe, 6.0.2800.1106,

These errors give you an over view of what happened when I tried to access
some parts of Live Journal.com

Plus DR. watson alos registers the following Function Names that are listed
commonly with certian crashes that followed that,

ntdll!RtlZeroHeap
ntdll!RtlCreateHeap
ntdll!RtlAllocateHeap
ole32!<nosymbols>
!CompatFlagsFromClsid
!ObtainUserAgentString
!FindMediaType
kernel32!LocalAlloc
ole32!GetClassFile
!DllGetClassObject
!RevokeBindStatusCallback
rnr20!<nosymbols>
!CompareSecurityIds

Also Function Names Strings listed as the main part of the Crash,

RtlAllocateHeap
GetClassFile
RtlZeroHeap
RtlFreeHeap

That means ntdll can't handle any heap checks and has completely problems
with it.
