KB884020 failure message

I

Information

We need to apply the update from KB884020, after we donload and run we get a
"Failed to migrate dependent packages" message. We are attempting to use
the Secure Application Manager from Juniper and their software/website
recommended the KB in case of a problem.

Any insight is appreicaited, thanks in advance.

Was KB893066 previously installed ?

From KB884020:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884020
MORE INFORMATION
This fix is also included in the fix for Microsoft Knowledge Base article 893066. For
more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base: 893066 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893066/) MS05-019:
Vulnerabilities in TCP/IP could allow remote code execution and denial of service

Perhaps that's why it will not install.

Update(884020) updates the [TCPIP.sys] file, as does update(893066).
But then, so does several even newer updates. The msKB-article needs
to be [kept] updated.

[TCPIP.sys]:
(2001-08-18) 5.01.2600.0000 (WinXP SP0)
(2004-08-03) 5.01.2600.2180 (WinXP SP2)
(2004-08-14) 5.01.2600.2505 Update(884020)
(2005-03-19) 5.01.2600.2xxx Update(893066-v1) Security(ms05-019)
(2005-05-25) 5.01.2600.2685 Update(893066-v2) Security(ms05-019)
(2006-01-13) 5.01.2600.2827 Update(913446) Security(ms06-007)
(2006-04-20) 5.01.2600.2892 Update(917953) Security(ms06-032)

If the OS is reinstalled chances are that you will only reinstall
the at the time newest available update.
