kb867801 kills custom background colors

how is it that the geniuses (no slur or pun intended) at
MS cannot create an IE patch that does not disable my
custom background colors?!

the SAME THING happened after I installed the last SP, in
May, I believe. as soon as I un-stalled the sp - I got my
own ie background colors back! ditto for 867801

c'mon, MS, how hard is this!!

don't make me switch to FIREFOX! I'll do it!

and it would be nice if microsofty tested these patches in
the real world. not just on perfectly clean machines.

I'm having the same problem with 867801 as well, as soon as I
uninstall it, I can have my custom background colors.

I had the identical problem with the earlier patch (832894, I believe)
and it was mentioned on here as well.

Apparently both of them have the same bug, its never been fixed.
