KB823980 Setup Error

Hi all
I am facing a severe problem related to fixing Blaster
worm using the patch available at the MS website.
Whenever i try to run the patch (WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-
ENU) it gives me an error like this: 'Setup could not
verify the inteftrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure
the Cyrptographic service is running on this
computer'.
I have checked that the cryptographic service is
running fine on my computer , I have also tried
restarting the same. I have tried downloading the
patch again from the website but of no use, the
same error pops up again. Please someone help me
urgently because my computer is shutting down every
now and then because of this blaster worm.

Install this instead:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms04-012.mspx

It replaced 824146 which replaced 823980.

Also, the patch is preventative, you need to take steps to remove
Blaster:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/blaster.htm

You should install ALL Critical Updates soon after available.
