Junk Email warning message

I am running Outlook 2003. I used to get a warning dialog box that told me
something to they effect "a message was recieved and placed in th junk email
folder"

Then it gave an option to open the junk email folder.

I no longer received this message. Is there a way of getting it back?

I've never seen Outlook do that and have never read of the ability in any of
the documentation. I think you had a third-party antispam tool.

Well, my wife has it running on her computer, and I do not have any third
party software.

I used to get the warning as soon as Outlook started downloading mail, and
suspected that a message was junk. It would place the mail in the junk
folder and give me an option to open the folder or do other things. It was
very helpful as I don't always think to go to the junk folder.

Brian,

I get such messages when suspected Junk mail comes and is diverted to the
Junk E-mail folder which has been created by Outlook.

Rajiv, Thanks I thought maybe I was going nuts. Can you tell me what, if
any, properties are associated with the box and what are the options. Is one
"Do not show anymore"?

Shall have to see a junk mail coming before I reply to your message. It may
take a day or two.

Thanks, but the screen shot didn't show. Today my wife got one on hers so I
captured it.

OK, I have the answer, thanks to my son, and it may help others that
unwittingly checked a dialog box and wished they hadn't.

Outlook and other prgrams keep track of replies to "DO NOT SHOW THIS AGAIN"
by adding a numerical value to a registry item.

For my problem the item is under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft,
Office, 11, Outlook, Options, General and finally PONT_STRING. There will be
numerical values that are added as described above. My value was 37 and I
edited it out.

Here is a link that expalins the process and values for different messages.

Hope that makes it easier for someone who ran into this problem.
